Alex Stein was born and raised in London, Britain. He did a B.A. in History at the University of Manchester and an M.Phil in International Relations at the University of Cambridge, where he was the Queens’ College Abba Eban Scholar. He has also been a youth worker for the Jewish youth movement Noam. His articles have appeared in the Guardian, Haaretz, the Jerusalem Post, the Jewish Quartetly, the Jewish Chronicle, the Forward, Search for Common Ground, and Greater Kashmir. He spent six months in India working on a novel, Subcontinent, and is now living in Jerusalem, where he makes a living as a freelance grant-writer and is training to be a tour-guide. He lives for hip-hop music and supports Liverpool FC.

    Alex, enjoy. With luck, you’ll fail to meet any BDSers, antizionists, etc. You will almost certainly come back a different person: our daughters did – and that was only to Israel on Machon, via Maccabi.
